From what I could tell, bevelling, cleaning and tinning the edges properly seemed to be key to getting it to stick properly. The bits I sledgehammer tested stuck really well where I'd done it carefully.

I reckon tin cans would be ideas to make small formers for "on the fly" mouldings

Ok I am now the Benelux agent for Easyweld. well starting Jan 1st I am the agent, thats THE agent not an agent, all Easyweld sales and deliveries to Belgium, Holland and Luxemburg will be going through me, hopefully so will the German and French ones later in the year. Chris S (admin)

Yes, as you have to get the job up to temperature and the oil seals etc wont stand up to the temp required to weld the casting.

*although* - look at the rubber seal on the test coolant flange..no sign of serious issues there...
